I have just finished reading the BartCop reviews of the movie. I was struck by one review in particular that said,
But what I am more than anything is ANGRY. I got angrier with every passing moment of the film. It got to the point that every time I saw bush on screen, I muttered "f*(king @$$hole", only I got louder each time. I was angry before the film, but it is so powerful in it's images, the sounds, the obvious evidence of the incredible HUBRIS of the bush family and the administration, I felt my blood pressure rising with each scene. Angry doesn't really even begin to say it. I am almost breathless with anger and indignation, yes, and I consider it a righteous anger. That the bush family can do what they've done simply proves, to me, there is no god. No just god could allow these people to thrive.

This echoes my feelings that this movie was done this way in order to ratchet up the rhetoric and pull on people's heartstrings instead of reasoning with them. Which of course is summed up by the final confrontation in the final scene (no more spoilers except to say) that was sounding an awful lot like the Charlton Heston scene at the end of Bowling For Columbine to Your Humble Narrator.
Most of the other reviews had spoilers in them, and we're trying oh so hard not to mention them to you until you get a chance to see the movie for yourself. So we'll leave you with this little gem towards the bottom of the page:
I loved the film...I felt that Michael Moore has articulated my anger perfectly...
Only one thing I would have wished...that Moore could have spoken out about the damage being done to the environment as a result of the Bush policies, but hey, that's a whole other movie!!!
Thanks,
J Russ

I, too, was expecting to see a different film. Which might be why I'm am little hard in my critique of the movie (however sparse it may seem to be). Maybe I've become so sensitized to manipulation of this type that I'm upset with Mike's use of the technique.
I have to say that even though it wasn't exactly what I expected nor what I wanted it to be, I will still strongly recommend that everyone takes a gander at this film. Anybody who is experiencing difficulty in finding a seat to view this film should consider an immediate road trip to the Auburn Hills area. There's at least one place that I know of that you should have no trouble getting a chance to check it out at...
