Open Season On Supporters Of Democracy Has Been Declared By The Republics

On the public record, by a currently electorated Congresscritter, no less.

Elected Republic Congressman wants to kill liberals* Rep. Jim Gibbons, (R-My Way Or The Highway), accused liberals, movie stars and song makers of "trying to divide this country."

"I say we tell those liberal, tree-hugging, Birkenstock-wearing, hippie, tie-dyed liberals to go make their movies and their music and whine somewhere else," he told the crowd, according to the Elko Daily Free Press.

He then said it was "too damn bad we didn't buy them a ticket" to become human shields in Iraq.

His comments came a week after he apologized for calling those who oppose corporate donations for President Bush's inaugural parties "communists." Why does this remind us of the non-apology from A$$Reamer over at Lack of Class, Power, and Ethics Powerline when he got caught showing us all how the typical Republic responds when criticized about anything?

* - the actual headline for this article is Democrats blast Gibbons' comments about liberals, as opposed to something like Republic makes radical comments about using liberals as human shields in Iraq. Imagine our surprise!
