I finally got around to listening to the BartCop Radio Show 88 final fourth segment. This wondrous fine 37 minute-plus piece of mind candy has completed the latest rant from the Tequila Treehouse in K-Drag. Bart hits most of the keys with his analysis of the sound clips from the usual cast of adult cartoon characters**, and Tommy Mack performs his usual production and editing wizardry in pulling so many musical, spoken word, and homemade miscellaneous sound sources together into an aural collage that makes you think***. Dude, you can throw in as much Jon Stewart as you like into the shows. And as much of the media whores as you can stand, in order to rip them to shreds. You have found lots and lots of obscure music - including a cut from the Seeds in this radio segment - and clips from Meat The Whores This Weak in Washington The McNothingButConservatives Report a sampling of the media whore Sunday morning adult cartoons that some of us wouldn't even know about otherwise. Even a nice Zappa guitar riff or two in the mix, if my ears do not deceive me.
It's also nice to hear from a wide variety of people who read the web site on a regular basis. Bart is now letting anyone call him toll free for two minutes and give him something to think about. Apparently there are a lot of people who have looked at sites like BartCop as a island of sanity in a crazy world full of ditto monkeys for some time now. And he's been at it for over ten years...
So, to sum up [crowd screams with enjoyment!] - BartCop Radio 88 segment four: very nice segues and summing up of BCR show 88, excellent trip reports about places I will be spending my tourist dollars. Subscribe to BartCop Radio for pennies a day and get enough mental sunshine to face the dreariness of the Dark Lord Deadeye Dick and the rest of the Imperial Executroids for another year or two. If only we had a people who were more concerned with dying soldiers and less concerned with drying sperm. And congratulations to BartCop for ten years of giving ditto monkeys the red ass!
* - (y!wctw!) the modified version of blogiversary (y!tlctw!)****, at least...
** - I hearken back to the classical days of the WWF with the Macho Man and the Hulk and the British Bulldogs and all of the bad Ay-Rabs, when we had the good fortune to hear them all put out an album or two and treat us to their musical stylings. I always used to kid my dad that the characters he watches on those Sunday morning shows look very similar to the characters ranting on the wrestling shows, and the scripted parts of the show had a lot of common themes.
*** - although I have to agree with his two main points at the end of the segment - always back up your sensitive, mission-critical computer information, and never let your radio production engineer tell a joke at the end of the program.
**** - at least, according to skippy, who of course started a prototype of the google bomb when he coined blogtopia, and added a (y!sctw!) (yes! skippy coined that word!) link in a number of his blog posts.
