Clinically Insane

Humpday, 10 Promise 2006

Some people say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result.

The story so far:

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, some Reich Wing organizations published some articles which provided a detailed trove of information about the sitting Vice pResident and a member of the cabinet and their personal vacation resorts (which they went to whilst being guarded with taxpayer-funded security).

A longer time ago, other Reich Wing organizations published even more detailed articles about the last legally elected president of the US and his spouse, who was a member of congress at the time, as well as intimate details about their personal habits. You know, things that might actually allow some people to stalk hunt them down and haunt their footsteps.

Just recently, another (slightly less Reich Wing) organization published the same information about the sitting Vice pResident and a member of the current cabinet.

As a result, a number of Reich Wing propaganda catpultists suggested that they be arrested and tried for treason. And some asked their readers to stalk the children of those who reported, photographed, and published the article. Seriously. While failing to demand that the others be tried for doing the same thing, years ago. Which is one of the places where that whole insanity thing comes into play...

When presented with factual proof that they were wrong about their belief in the whole "danger to the security of the United States" presumption, for some strange reason bedwetting Reich wingers seem categorically unable to admit the possibility of being in error when they called for liberals to be stalked, staked, and burned.

Do I expect Reich wing Putsch fellators to stop harassing those who dare to question their exalted Chimperor?

Do I expect a modicum of shame, admission of error, or attention to the facts of the matter from those still brain dead enough to make excuses for the Train Wreck In Chief?

Do you think I have done much beyond scratch the surface of vapid wingnuttery that has been posted on the Internets about this tempest in a teapot?

Sadly, No!

[Editors' Note: It saddens me to have to say that due to technical glitches, I was unable to post this on Wednesday when I wrote it. It saddens me because this is the longest period of blog inaccessability since I signed on with Computer Tyme a couple of years ago.]

Still wondering why the Department of Veterans' Affairs needs to test and see if they can post comments at this stop on the internets...
