Dog Days

Sunday, 27 Sweltring 2006

It's summertime, and the living is easy. Which is why you haven't seen a lot of new stuff here of late.

There's also the visits to Toronto, the prep for the Vegas trip, the family reunion, and the disinclination to post anything while things are going well, among other distractions that are causing our font of infotainment to be somewhat less robust. And things seem to be okay here at the Funny Farm these days. There's a new logo at the top of the site now, and some additional blogs in the Links Zone. Plus, it appears that I have flummoxed my opponent in blogger's chess - either that, or my infamous excessive luck (very good or very bad) has started affecting him, too.

I would also like to note that due to circumstances beyond my control I have had a couple of wonderfully witty blog posts vanish due to the awesome stability of various WinDoze operating systems software (mainly XP).

But I couldn't resist bringing a few things to your attention (if you haven't noticed them already):

For the children of the religiously insane who might have some shreds of self-esteem still hanging around, there is this fine (cough) product:

The Armor of God pyjamas
The Armor of God pyjamas

Not only do we have the tinfoil helmet of salvation, the breasticle-plate of righteousness, the belt of truth*, the pillow shield of faith, and the winged footies of peace, but our sources can confirm that the codpiece of chastity (which is not clearly defined - so little sinners won't know where not to touch in the middle of the night) is triple-reinforced with special cootie-carrying sin resistant fabric in all the right places.

I wonder if Pajamas Media has ordered themselves a case of these sleepy time duds yet...

I have also found what I believe to be pResident Pull My Finger's favorite web site. It's flatulicious!

Finally, it seems that the marines are not a good career choice any more, unless you enjoy serving the United states government until you've spilled your life's blood for flag and country. You mean you thought you'd get to retire? With Republican'ts (who apparently have never seen a war that they could walk away from - as long as their a$$es aren't on the line) at the wheel? Go on, pull the other one...

* - which doesn't have nearly the power of Thor's belt of strength. Does that make the Norse god better than the christian one?
