Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before

Fryday, 18 Shivring 2008

Wasn't it a Republican't spokesweasel who said "here are reminders to all Americans that they need to watch what they say, watch what they do, and this is not a time for remarks like that; there never is." when defending a Republican't government funded black ops campaign against Bill Maher?

The Putsch cabal knew they were illegally spying on us even before 9-11 and they actively used that knowledge to harass americans.

Congress (including my own supposedly Democratic senator) voted today to ignore the lawbeaking the telecoms have already engaged in. I cannot seem to be able to determine whether the changes to FISA will continue to allow the telecoms to engage in illegal surveillance of americans - maybe somebody can point me to the relevant portions of the bill? - but I also seem to be missing out on whether that is up for discussion..

All of which means that, among other things, all communications that involve an american communications device and a non-american communications device will be run through the Carnivore and Echelon applications at a minimum. Being a cell phone owner whose immediate family and most friends are resident in the Great White North, let's just say that I think I have reason to believe that I might have passed through the filters once or twice. Being a somewhat (cough) vocal critic of the people doing the monitoring has often given the denizens of the Funny Farm pause. But [matrix agent voice] I pay my taxes. So there's that.

Then again, just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean there isn't (at least one) somebody out to get me...
